The Rubens Landscapes Supports Project will undertake new scholarship on the panel supports of some of his most beautiful paintings. It will encourage young emerging scholars to consider how the construction of the panels, whether their sizing is in accordance or not with the Antwerp 1617 regulations, and the absence or presence of panel marks can add to exisiting knowledge concerning Rubens’s painting and workshop practices.
